affordable business degreesYoungstown State University’s Master’s of Business Administration degree has been deemed one of the nation’s most affordable online business degrees.

The online MBA degree from the YSU Williamson College of Business Administration is included on the list of 2014 Most Affordable Business Degrees developed by OnlineU. The list is online at www.OnlineU.org.

“We recently completed extensive research into the cost of attending different online colleges to enable students to find the most affordable online degrees in business,” said Kimberly Wetter, head of marketing at SR Education Group, a Kirkland, Wash.-based company that focuses on creating online education and career-related resources.

“With the average price of college skyrocketing, forcing many students to rely on student loans to fund their education, we were impressed with Youngstown State University’s ability to continue to offer an online business degree at a reasonable price.”

Wetter said OnlineU’s mission is to refocus the higher education conversation around affordability and quality and make access to online college information more transparent.

YSU offers seven fully online degree programs:

Millie Rodriguez, YSU director of Distance Education, said that YSU’s approach to online learning is to support the delivery of high-quality, accredited, fully online degree programs, and to provide world-class customer service to assist in the gainful employment of YSU online learners.

“At YSU, we offer both high quality and highly sought after degree programs,” she said. “We offer world-class faculty and top-notch student service through our Office of Distance Education.”

Rodriguez said that, in the next five years, YSU expects to develop more online program offerings that will be unique, media rich and state-of-the-art in terms of design, development and delivery. “We also expect them to remain affordable and be exceptionally diverse in our student population by hopefully seeing enrollments from all 50 states and many other countries,” she added.
