Monday, Oct. 22, 8 p.m.  YSU’s Dana School of Music presents a fall choral concert titled, “Singing from the Heart in Time of Change,” at in St. Columba Cathedral, Youngstown. More here.

Wednesday, Oct. 24, 12:15 p.m. The YSU Dana School of Music presents a free Music at Noon concert featuring a Tuba/Euphonium Recital. The concert in the Butler Institute of American Art is part of “Octubafest.”

Wednesday, Oct. 24. The YSU Alumni Lecture Series presents “Public Protection: The Role of Certification and Licensure from a National Perspective of 25 Years in Emergency Medical Services” by William E. Brown, Jr. (BSAS ’77, BSN ’77).  At 5:30 p.m. come for networking in Tod Hall Lobby, followed by the lecture at 6:30 p.m. in the Trustees Meeting Room in Tod Hall. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 8 p.m. The Dana School of Music’s Percussion Ensemble performs at Butler North adjacent to the Butler Institute of American Art. Free.

Friday, Oct. 26, 8:30 a.m. to noon. The Williamson College of Business Administration kicks off its Fall 2012 Business and Professional Development Seminar Series with “Expanding Your Market by Going Global” with facilitator Mousa H. Kassis. All seminars are in the WCBA Conference Center on the third floor of Williamson Hall. Advanced registration and payment is required. More here.

Friday, Oct. 26, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The YSU Political Science Department and its Rigelhaupt Pre-Law Center sponsors Law Day, an annual event for students considering careers in law and law-related fields, in McKay Auditorium at Beeghly Hall on the YSU campus. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26 and 27. Three award-winning authors will be among the keynote speakers at the 2012 Annual Reading Conference at YSU. The conference is a professional development event for teachers across Ohio and the region. This year’s theme is “Creating a Sense of Wonder that Engages ALL Readers.” Mary Lou DiPillo and Regina Rees, both professors in the Beeghly College of Education at YSU, are co-chairs. More here.

Saturday, Oct. 27, 1 p.m. The women’s soccer team takes on Wright State at Stambaugh Stadium.
