University ScholarsTuesday, May 7, 12:20 p.m. The latest class of YSU’s Leslie H. Cochran University Scholars will be presented in an event in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center on campus. The University Scholars program, started in 1993 under the leadership of then YSU President Leslie H. Cochran, is a full-tuition, room-and-board scholarship awarded annually to 40 of the best and brightest high school graduates throughout the nation.

Tuesday, May 7, 3:30 to 5 p.m. A group of students in YSU’s Williamson College of Business Administration showcase their consulting work in the Schwebel’s Café on the first floor of Williamson Hall. More here.

Friday, May 10, 10 a.m. YSU employees and students who died while on active military duty will be remembered at the university’s annual Reading of the Names ceremony at Veteran’s Plaza on campus. At 11:30 a.m., the annual YSU Armed Forces Appreciation Luncheon will be held in the Ohio Room in Kilcawley Center.

Friday, May 10. Last day to view the Spring Graduating BFA show, an exhibition of work by students graduating this semester from the Department of Art at YSU. The exhibit is in the McDonough Museum of Art on the YSU campus. The museum is open is free and open to the public 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.

Friday, May 10, 4 p.m. YSU baseball team opens a three-game series against Milwaukee at Eastwood Field in Niles. The teams also play 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11 and 1 p.m. Sunday, May 12.

Friday and Saturday, May 10, 8 p.m. The YSU Ward Beecher Planetarium presents STARS. Also showing is Little Star that Could at 1 and 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10. Free.
