Tuesday, March 4, 11 to 12:15 p.m. “Orange is the New Black: Women in the Criminal Justice System” is presented in Beeghly Hall, McKay Auditorium, as part of YSU’s Women’s History Month. More here.

Wednesday, March 5, 12:15 p.m. Dana School of Music Percussion Ensemble performs a free Music at Noon concert in the Butler Institute of American Art.

Wednesday, March 5, 5 p.m. The YSU Board of Trustees has called a special meeting in the Trustees Meeting Room in Tod Hall to consider and/or take action upon matters pertaining to President Randy J. Dunn’s employment agreement and to consider such other business as may come before the board.

Wednesday, March 5, 7:05 p.m. The Penguins’ women’s hoops team plays Wright State in Beeghly Center. The women close out the regular season Saturday, March 8, 2:05 p.m., against Cleveland State in Beeghly Center.

Thursday, March 6, 5:30 to 7 p.m. “Women of Steel” is presented in the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor (“The Steel Museum”), 151 W. Wood St.,  as part of YSU’s Women’s History Month. Donna DeBlasio and Martha Pallante, YSU professors of History, show a short documentary film titled “Women of Steel” and facilitate a discussion about the role of women in the steel industry. Friday, March 7, 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. The Women’s Club at YSU will accept new and gently used seasonal women’s and men’s clothing, shoes, jewelry, purses and accessories in Kilcawley Center Presidents’ Suite. More here.

Friday, March 7, 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. “Careers and Women in Geography” will be presented in Kilcawley Center, Gallery Room, as part of YSU’s Women’s History Month. The event will be an open dialogue of women with degrees in geography. Discussion will focus on how their major helped them find their career direction and how geography is an asset in their career. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 7, 8 and 9. YSU Theater  presents “Twelfth Night in 2014,” a newly devised production based on works by William Shakespeare, in Spotlight Theater in Bliss Hall on the YSU campus. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m., while the Sunday matinee performances are at 2 p.m. More here.

Friday and Saturday, March 7 and 8, 8 p.m. YSU’s Ward Beecher Planetarium shows “Cosmic Castaways.” The planetarium also presents “Space Shapes” at 1 and 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 8. Free.
