Workshop focuses on LGBTQI community culture

BRAVOThe Buckeye Region Anti-Violence Organization hosts a workshop 2 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, March 17, on LGBTQI culture and the prevention of violence both within and against the LGBTQI community.

The free workshop is in the James Gallery of Kilcawley Center on the campus of Youngstown State University.

BRAVO works to eliminate violence perpetrated on the basis of sexual orientation and/or gender identification, domestic violence, and sexual assault through prevention, education, advocacy, violence documentation, and survivor services, both within and on behalf of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities.

Discussions in the workshop will include some basic street safety tips.
