Check out what's happening this week at Youngstown State University.Wednesday, Aug. 28, 3 to 4:03 p.m.  A commemorative event marking the 50th anniversary of the 1963 March on Washington and the “I Have a Dream” speech by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be held in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center on the YSU campus. The event is called “63: A Focus on Peace and Nonviolence” and is sponsored by the Office of Student Diversity Programs and the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs. Thursday, Aug. 29, 7:30 p.m. Thursday night football returns to Stambaugh Stadium at the YSU Penguins open the 2013 football season against Dayton. More at www.ysusports.com.

Friday, Aug. 30, 4 p.m. YSU women’s soccer takes on Toledo, the opening game for the new Farmers National Bank Field on Fifth Avenue. Farmers National Bank donated $500,000 to the project. More here: http://www.ysusports.com/general/farmers-donation.
