Teri Riley named interim provost

Teri Riley, who joined the YSU faculty in 1984 and has served as associate provost since January 2012, has been named interim provost.

Riley will take the post vacated by Ikram Khawaja, who is now serving as interim president of YSU. Randy Dunn resigned the YSU presidency on March 21.

Riley was an assistant professor of Economics at Ithaca College in New York and an instructor of Economics at Denison University before coming to YSU in September 1984. She earned the rank of full professor in 1996. She was director of Faculty Relations at YSU from 2006 to 2012, when she was named associate provost for Academic Administration.

She has a long list of scholarly publications and is a member of the American Economic Association and the National Association of Economic Educators.
