Student web, social media consulting work showcased

Students in Youngstown State University’s Williamson College of Business Administration will showcase their consulting work for area small businesses on Thursday, Dec. 12, 1:15 to 3 p.m., in the Schwebel’s Cafe area of the first floor of Williamson Hall.

For the sixth consecutive year, students developed web sites and social media plans for regional businesses as part of the Social Media and E-Commerce course. The projects include complete website development for One Hot Cookie in downtown Youngstown, Youngstown Pipe & Supply LLC in Youngstown, SassyPants Catering LLC in Youngstown, Gatta Productions in downtown Youngstown, HTS Integreation and Michael Charles Premier Beer and Wine in Warren.

Collectively, over the past five years, students’ efforts and work through these projects have contributed more than $10,000 of services to help the commercial expansion of local businesses.
