Activist Lynd presents ‘The New Rank and File’

November 2, 2012  |

Youngstown attorney and activist Staughton Lynd presents “The New Rank and File, and the Walmart Moment” at the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8.

Following the talk, Staughton and Alice Lynd will sign copies of their book, Rank and File: Personal Histories by Working Class Organizers, which has just been revised and reprinted by Haymarket Books. Originally published in 1973, Rank and File, a classic work extensively utilizing oral history, has long been out of print. The Lynds revised their original publication, which documents the work of over two dozen working-class organizers.

The Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor is located at 151 W. Wood St., Youngstown.  The event is free and open to the public.  For more information, contact the museum at 330-941-1314.
