The event is sponsored by the Danielle L. Peters Endowment to Promote Awareness of Eating Disorders. A fashion merchandising student at YSU, Peters passed away because of bulimia in summer 2012 at the age of 21, said Priscilla Gitimu, YSU associate professor and coordinator Merchandising: Fashion and Interiors. Gitimu said Peters’ parents attended the fashion show in 2012 and, as a result, started the endowment fund in their daughter’s memory.

Donations for the fund will be accepted at the fashion show. Gifts also can be made at the Office of University Development at YSU, online at www.ysu.edu/givetoysu or calling 330-941-3119.
