“I’ve worked hard, but I’ve had a lot of help,” O’Neill said. “It’s been quite a ride. It’s been 37 years since I left Youngstown, and honestly, when I think of all that’s happened, I’m a bit stunned.” He added: “I suppose if there’s any lesson to be learned from this, it’s to never give up on yourself, find a way or go down swinging.”
