Construction estimating competition set for Friday on campus

Students in Youngstown State University’s Civil and Construction Engineering Technology program participate in an estimating competition on Friday, March 28 on campus.

Teams of students, mentored by outside professionals, will compete to accurately estimate a construction project. Students estimate an actual construction project that has been built and compare their estimate to the actual estimate The competition is sponsored by the Builders Association of Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.

The competition in Moser Hall starts at 8 a.m. and concludes with a dinner at 6 p.m. in Kilcawley Center, where awards will be presented.
