Author of ’50 Jobs in 50 States’ visits campus

Daniel Seddiqui, author of 50 Jobs in 50 States, speaks 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, in Room 2000 of Moser Hall on the campus of Youngstown State University.

The presentation is hosted by the Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program and the YSU Office of Career Services.

After being turned down for every job he applied for after graduating college, Seddiqui took a trek across the United States and performed a job in each state. Among his jobs was surf instructor in Hawaii, insurance broker in Connecticut, coal miner in West Virginia, border patrol agent in Arizona, rodeo announcer in South Dakota, golf caddie in South Carolina, meatpacker in Kansas, bouncer in Louisiana, furniture builder in Pennsylvania and meteorologist in Ohio.

Admission is free but seating is limited. Students, faculty and staff can obtain an admission ticket at the Office of Career Services in Jones Hall Room 1034.
